Phantom support phone number: why every one is a scam
Phantom has no phone support. Phantom says it has no support phone number or public email address, never contacts users first and never DMs on social media. Any number, WhatsApp contact or account claiming to be Phantom support is a scammer. Real support is the chat inside the Phantom app or extension, with articles at help.phantom.com.
Search "Phantom wallet support number" and you will find dozens of pages listing phone numbers, many with "official" or "24/7" in the title. None of them is real. This page explains why these numbers exist, how the scam works and how to reach Phantom's real support. Ghostlight Guide is an independent guide and has no connection to Phantom.
What Phantom says about its support
Phantom's help centre article on contacting support (checked 25 October 2026) is clear:
- "We don't have a support phone number or public email address."
- "Phantom Support will never contact you first." Anyone who reaches out claiming to be Phantom support is a scammer.
- "Phantom Support will never send you a direct message on social media."
- Support will never ask for your Secret Recovery Phrase, private keys or wallet PIN, never ask you to move funds and never ask for passwords.
Phantom also cannot reverse transactions or unlock funds. It is a self-custody wallet. Anyone promising to "restore", "unfreeze" or "recover" your crypto is lying.
How to reach real Phantom support
According to the same article, support runs through chat inside Phantom itself:
- Mobile app: tap your profile avatar and open Help & Support, or tap Chat with us on the Home tab.
- Desktop: use the Chat button at the bottom of the page.
Support is in English only. The chat shows a ticket ID, and an agent follows up by email to the address you give. Because the chat lives inside the real app, you cannot be sent to it by a phone number, a link in a DM or a search ad. Only open Phantom from the app you installed from the official store, or type help.phantom.com for help articles.
| Need | Where to go |
|---|---|
| Talk to Phantom | Chat inside the real Phantom app or extension |
| Help articles | help.phantom.com, typed into the address bar or from a bookmark |
| Outage or service status | Phantom's official account on X (check the handle carefully) and the help centre |
| Common errors | Our guides: Phantom not working, transaction failed, token not showing |
| Forgotten password | Restore with your recovery phrase in the real app: recover a Phantom wallet |
| Funds stolen | What to do if your wallet was drained |
Where fake numbers appear
While researching this site in October 2026, we found fake Phantom support numbers in:
- PDF files uploaded to the websites of universities, colleges and companies through open upload forms, with titles like "how do I contact Phantom customer service".
- Posts on unrelated product forums and community sites, Q&A pages and note-sharing sites.
- Pages on free website builders and course platforms dressed up as a Phantom help desk.
- Search ads that appear above the real help centre.
These pages exist only to rank in search results. They look credible because they sit on well-known domains, but the domain owner did not write them and Phantom has nothing to do with them. Our checker flags phone numbers and look-alike domains.
A quick test for any "Phantom support" page you find: look at the address bar. If it is not phantom.com or help.phantom.com, it is not Phantom, however professional it looks. If the page shows a phone number, a WhatsApp link or a form that asks for your recovery phrase, close it. Real help articles never ask you to type your phrase, and the only place to talk to Phantom is the chat inside the app you installed from an official store.
How the scam works
- You have a problem. A failed transaction, a missing token, a forgotten password or a drained wallet.
- You call the number. A friendly "agent" answers, often quickly, and says they can fix it.
- They ask for one of these: your recovery phrase "to verify ownership" or "resync the wallet"; to install a remote-access app so they can "check your device"; to visit a site and "validate" or "whitelist" your wallet by signing a transaction; or a fee to "unlock" funds.
- Your wallet is emptied. With the phrase or a signed transaction, they move everything. With remote access, they can also reach exchange accounts and banking.
- They come back. Victims are often contacted again by "recovery agents" who charge another fee.
Fake support in DMs and replies
The same scam runs on social media. Post a complaint that tags Phantom on X, or ask for help in a Discord or Telegram group, and within minutes accounts with Phantom-like names and logos reply or DM you. They link to a "support ticket" form or a "wallet validation" page that asks for your recovery phrase or a signature. Phantom says it never DMs users on social media, so every one of these is fake.
Network changes bring a fresh wave. When Phantom ended Monad support on 26 August 2026 and Sui support on 24 September 2026, it warned that it would not contact users about moving assets and that unsolicited "migration" offers are scams (Phantom help centre; Solana Compass, 2026).
Signs you are not talking to Phantom
| What they do | Why it gives them away |
|---|---|
| Give you a phone number, WhatsApp or Telegram contact | Phantom has no phone support or public email |
| Contacted you first, or replied to your public post | Phantom never contacts you first or DMs on social media |
| Ask for your recovery phrase, private key or PIN | Phantom support never asks for these |
| Ask you to move funds to a "safe wallet" | Phantom never asks you to move funds |
| Ask you to install screen-sharing or remote-access software | Real support works through chat and email only |
| Ask for a fee to unlock or recover funds | Phantom cannot access your funds at all |
What Phantom support can and cannot do
Real Phantom support can explain features, look into app bugs and take reports of scam sites. It cannot see your recovery phrase, reset your password, reverse a transaction, refund a scam or move your funds, because Phantom never holds them. Knowing this makes the scam easy to spot: anyone who claims they can do these things, for a fee or in exchange for your phrase, is not Phantom.
If you already called a fake number
| What you did | What to do now |
|---|---|
| Shared your recovery phrase | Create a new wallet on a clean device and move remaining funds immediately. Follow our drained wallet guide. |
| Installed a remote-access app | Disconnect from the internet, uninstall it, and from another device change passwords for email, exchanges and banking. Then move crypto to a new wallet created on a clean device. |
| Signed a transaction on their site | Check your balances, revoke approvals on EVM networks and move funds to a new wallet if anything was taken. |
| Paid a fee | Contact your bank or card provider and report the scam. Crypto payments usually cannot be reversed. |
| Only talked to them | Block the number. Expect follow-up calls and "recovery" offers; ignore them. |
Report the number and site to your national fraud or cybercrime service (in the US, the FBI's IC3 at ic3.gov; in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Report Fraud, which replaced Action Fraud; in Scotland, Police Scotland on 101). The FBI has warned that people who have already been scammed are targeted again by fake recovery services (FBI, 2023).
Why scammers love wallet "support"
Self-custody wallets have no account to reset and no way to reverse a transfer, so a scammer who gets your phrase faces no one who can stop them. People looking for support are often stressed and in a hurry, which makes them easier to rush. The simple defence is to remember that a genuine wallet company will never need your recovery phrase, and Phantom does not answer phones.
