Is this the real Phantom? Check a link, extension or app
Paste a store link, website address or extension ID. The checker compares it with Phantom's official Chrome extension ID, App Store app ID, Google Play package and websites (phantom.com and the older phantom.app) and flags look-alike domains, hidden non-Latin letters, free hosting services and fake support numbers. It runs in your browser.
Official Phantom identifiers (October 2026)
| Where | What to check |
|---|---|
| Website | phantom.com (older address: phantom.app). Type it yourself or use a bookmark. |
| Chrome Web Store extension ID (also for Brave and Edge) | bfnaelmomeimhlpmgjnjophhpkkoljpa |
| Apple App Store app ID | id1598432977, publisher Phantom Technologies |
| Google Play package name | app.phantom |
| Firefox | Phantom says it no longer supports Firefox; the old add-on gets no updates. |
| Phone support | None. Any "Phantom support" phone number is a scam. |
How to find the ID of an extension you already installed
- Open your browser's extensions page: type
chrome://extensions(Chrome),brave://extensions(Brave) oredge://extensions(Edge) into the address bar. - Turn on Developer mode (top right). Every extension now shows its ID.
- Compare the ID under Phantom with the official one above, character by character, or paste it into the checker.
If the ID is different, remove the extension at once, then follow what to do if your Phantom wallet was drained. The safe download steps are in how to download Phantom safely.
What fake Phantom pages look like
- Pages on free hosting or course platforms with "phantom" in the address (for example a teachable, wasmer, daftpage or Google Sites page).
- Domains that look like phantom.com but are not: extra letters, hyphens, a different ending, or "rn" in place of "m".
- Letters from other alphabets that look the same as Latin letters.
- Search ads and "support" pages with phone numbers or chat windows that ask for your recovery phrase. Phantom never asks for it.
- Pages about "Fantom": that is a different crypto project, not Phantom Wallet.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to paste a link here?
Yes. Links and extension IDs are public, and the check runs only in your browser. Never paste a recovery phrase or private key anywhere.
The checker says the link is official. Is that enough?
It confirms the identifier. Also check that you reached the page by typing phantom.com yourself, and that the store listing shows a long history and many users.
Does Phantom work on Firefox?
Not any more. Phantom's Firefox listing says it is no longer supported and will not receive updates. Use Chrome, Brave or Edge, or the mobile app.
Does Phantom have a phone number?
No. Phantom supports users through its help centre at help.phantom.com. Phone numbers that claim to be Phantom support are scams.
I installed a fake Phantom. What now?
Remove it, and assume any recovery phrase you typed into it is compromised. From a clean device, create a new wallet and move any remaining funds to it as quickly as possible.
