Phantom dropped Sui and Monad: how to reach your funds

Phantom ended Monad support on 26 August 2026 and Sui support on 24 September 2026. Your assets were not deleted: they are still on the Monad and Sui blockchains, and you can reach them by importing your Phantom recovery phrase into a trusted wallet that supports that chain. There is no deadline, and Phantom will never contact you to help.

Quick steps

  1. Reveal your recovery phrase in Phantom. In Phantom settings, open the security section and reveal your recovery phrase. Write it down on paper and keep it offline.
  2. Install a trusted wallet for the chain. For Sui, install a reputable Sui wallet such as Slush. For Monad, install a Monad-compatible EVM wallet. Get it only from the official website or app store.
  3. Import the recovery phrase. Choose the option to import an existing wallet and type the phrase inside the app. Never enter it on a website or share it with anyone.
  4. Check the address and balance. Make sure the address matches the one you used in Phantom and that your assets appear.
  5. Repeat for imported accounts. Export and import any other recovery phrases or private keys you had imported into Phantom that held Sui or Monad assets.

Last verified: 25 October 2026. If your SUI, MON or other tokens on these networks disappeared from Phantom, this is why. The fix is straightforward, but scammers are targeting people in exactly this situation, so read the safety section first.

What happened, with dates

DateEvent
29 January 2025Phantom added Sui (The Block, 2025)
24 November 2025Phantom added Monad at its mainnet launch
24 July 2026Phantom announced on X that it would end Monad support (some outlets date it 25 July)
24 August 2026Phantom announced that "Phantom and Sui have decided to end Sui support on Phantom on September 24" (Solana Compass, 2026)
26 August 2026Monad support ended (Phantom help centre)
24 September 2026Sui support ended (Phantom developer changelog)

Phantom gave no detailed reason for either decision. The Sui exit was described as a joint decision with the Sui team. News reports linked both moves to falling activity on those networks; for example, Sui's DeFi value locked was reported to be about 82% below its peak (CoinGape and AMBCrypto, August 2026). Those are the reporters' explanations, not Phantom's.

What "support ended" means

  • Phantom no longer shows balances, sends, swaps or connects to apps on Sui or Monad.
  • Your assets are still on the blockchain, at the same addresses, controlled by the same recovery phrase. Phantom is self-custodial, so ending support changes what Phantom displays, not what you own (Phantom help centre, 2026).
  • There is no deadline for reaching your funds.
  • Apps you connected through Phantom on these networks stop working until you reconnect them with another wallet.

Before each cut-off Phantom waived its own swap fee for swaps into wrapped SUI or wrapped MON on Solana. Those waivers ended with support, so that route is no longer available in Phantom.

Before you start: safety rules

  • Phantom will never message you first, ask for your recovery phrase or private key, or offer to move your assets. Phantom says to treat any unexpected offer of migration help as a scam (Phantom help centre, 2026).
  • Download the new wallet only from its official website or the official app store listing. Type the address yourself; do not use search ads or links from DMs.
  • Enter your recovery phrase only inside a wallet app on your own device, never on a website, in a form, in a chat or on a call. Phantom has no phone support.
  • Importing your phrase into a second wallet means two apps now hold it. Choose a reputable wallet, and if you are worried about exposure, move the funds to a fresh wallet afterwards.

How to reach your Sui assets

Phantom recommended Slush, the Sui wallet associated with the Sui Foundation, but any reputable Sui wallet that accepts a standard 12- or 24-word recovery phrase should work (Solana Compass and crypto.news, 2026).

  1. In Phantom, open settings, then the security section, and reveal your recovery phrase. Write it down offline.
  2. Install a Sui wallet from its official source.
  3. Choose the option to import an existing wallet and enter the recovery phrase.
  4. Your Sui address and balances should appear. Check that the address matches the one you used in Phantom.
  5. Reconnect any Sui apps you use with the new wallet.

How to reach your Monad assets

Monad is an EVM network, so your Monad address is your Phantom 0x address. Phantom's help centre points to the list of supported wallets in Monad's own documentation; reports name MetaMask and Rabby among EVM wallets that work with Monad (Solana Compass, 2026).

  1. In Phantom, open settings, then the security section, and reveal your recovery phrase. Write it down offline.
  2. Install a Monad-compatible wallet from its official source.
  3. Import the recovery phrase. Your 0x address should appear automatically.
  4. If the wallet does not show Monad by default, add the Monad network using the official details from Monad's documentation, not from a random website.
  5. Check the balance, then move or use the assets as you wish.

If you imported other wallets into Phantom

Phantom's recovery phrase only covers accounts created from it. If you imported another recovery phrase or a private key into Phantom, and that account held Sui or Monad assets, you need to export and import each one separately (Phantom help centre, 2026).

If the address in the new wallet does not match, check that you imported the right phrase and look at other account numbers in the new wallet before assuming anything is lost.

Wallets created with email or Google/Apple login

If you created Phantom with an email or social login and never saw a recovery phrase, check whether Phantom lets you reveal one or export a private key for that account before you try another wallet. See Phantom email login. Never send login codes to anyone.

Lessons for other networks

Phantom supports nine networks today, and it added three of them in 2026. Networks can also leave. Keep your recovery phrase safe and offline, because it is what lets you reach your funds from any compatible wallet. The current list is on Phantom supported chains.

Frequently asked questions

Are my Sui or Monad funds lost?

No. They are still on the Sui or Monad blockchain. Phantom just no longer shows them. Import your recovery phrase into a wallet that supports the chain.

Is there a deadline to move my funds?

No. Phantom says there is no deadline, because the assets stay on-chain under your control.

Can I still swap SUI or MON inside Phantom?

No. Phantom's fee-free swaps into wrapped SUI and wrapped MON on Solana ended when support ended.

Someone from Phantom offered to help me migrate. Is it real?

No. Phantom never contacts users first, never asks for a recovery phrase and does not offer to move assets. It is a scam.

Which wallet should I use for Sui?

Phantom recommended Slush. Any reputable Sui wallet that accepts a standard recovery phrase should work. Download it only from its official source.
