Best Phantom Wallet alternatives in 2026
For Solana only, Solflare is the closest alternative, and Jupiter Mobile suits active traders outside the US. Backpack covers more chains, including Sui and Monad. MetaMask and Rabby are stronger on EVM networks, while Trust Wallet and OKX Wallet cover the most chains. Exodus suits holders who want a desktop app but no longer connects to dapps.
Phantom is a strong Solana wallet, but it is not for everyone. It supports only nine networks, dropped Monad and Sui in 2026, works with Ledger only, no longer supports Firefox and charges 0.85% on most swaps. Here are the wallets most worth considering instead, with facts checked on 25 October 2026. We have no affiliate deals with any of them, and we do not link to them: type official addresses yourself.

Solflare: the Solana specialist
Solflare has done only Solana since 2020. It runs as an extension (including Firefox), a web wallet and iOS and Android apps, supports Ledger, Keystone and its own Shield NFC card, and routes swaps through Jupiter without a fixed fee disclosed. Its card was paused on 28 July 2026 after the issuer wound down. Full comparison: Phantom vs Solflare.
Backpack: more chains, exchange attached
Backpack lists Solana, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, Sui, Monad and others, and added Robinhood Chain on 12 July 2026. It says it charges no wallet fee on swaps and bridges, supports Ledger, Trezor and Keystone, and links to the Backpack exchange, which launched a BP token in March 2026. It does not list Bitcoin. See Phantom vs Backpack.
Jupiter Mobile: for active Solana traders
Jupiter Mobile is the phone wallet from the Jupiter aggregator, on iOS, Android and the Solana Seeker. Its swap fees are tiered: 0% for stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps, 0.1% for SOL to stablecoins and blue-chip pairs, 0.2% for most other pairs and 0.5% for tokens less than 24 hours old (Jupiter docs, October 2026). It supports Ledger by Bluetooth and Trezor, recovery phrases or "Quick Accounts" with social login, plus limit orders, recurring orders and perps. It has no browser extension, and Jupiter says the app is unavailable in some jurisdictions, including the United States and China.
MetaMask: for EVM first
MetaMask supports far more EVM networks than Phantom, lets you add custom networks, works in Firefox and supports more hardware wallets. It added native Solana in May 2025, Bitcoin in December 2025 and Tron in January 2026. Its swap fee is 0.875%, and its Ledger support covers EVM accounts only. See Phantom vs MetaMask.
Trust Wallet: the widest mobile coverage
Trust Wallet says it supports more than 100 blockchains and lists a 0.7% swap fee on its own site. A malicious release of its Chrome extension on 24 December 2025 took about $8.5 million, by Trust Wallet's later count, before it was replaced; the mobile app was not affected. See Phantom vs Trust Wallet.
Rabby: the EVM companion
Rabby is EVM-only, so it replaces Phantom only for EVM activity. It charges 0.25% on swaps, supports custom networks and a wide range of hardware wallets, and its extension is open source under MIT. Many people pair it with Phantom. See Phantom vs Rabby.
OKX Wallet: exchange-linked breadth
OKX Wallet is the self-custodial wallet of the OKX group. CryptoSlate (October 2026) lists 130+ chains including Bitcoin and Solana, an interface fee of 0% to 0.5% depending on the pair, and support for Ledger, Trezor and Keystone. It applies regional blocking. In February 2025 OKX's exchange entity pleaded guilty in the US to operating an unlicensed money-transmitting business, a matter separate from the wallet. OKX is also named alongside Phantom in the April 2025 lawsuit over stolen WIENER tokens, which Phantom disputes.
Exodus: desktop-friendly, but no dapps
Exodus offers desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux plus iOS and Android, and supports Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, Tron and other networks. Its fee is a spread built into each quote. Trezor works with Exodus Desktop and Ledger Nano X and Flex with Exodus Mobile. In 2026 Exodus removed WalletConnect and its mobile dapp browser, and its Web3 browser extension stopped working on 1 October 2026 (CryptoSlate, October 2026). Exodus has said NFT support is ending; CryptoSlate gives the date as 1 December 2026. That makes it a holding wallet, not a replacement for Phantom's dapp use.
When to stay with Phantom
Phantom is still a good choice if most of your crypto is on Solana and you want Bitcoin, Base and Ethereum in the same app, Ledger signing on mobile, PSOL staking or Google/Apple sign-in. If the only thing missing is a chain or two, a second wallet is often simpler than switching. If something is broken, check Phantom not working before you move. Our Phantom review weighs the pros and cons.
How to choose
- List your chains. Solana only: Solflare or Jupiter Mobile. EVM-heavy: MetaMask or Rabby. Many chains: Trust Wallet, OKX Wallet or Backpack.
- Check hardware support. For larger balances, use a hardware wallet and check that your device works with the chains you need.
- Check your region. Jupiter Mobile and OKX Wallet are blocked in some countries; perps in most of these wallets exclude the US and UK.
- Compare fees only if you swap in-wallet. Network fees and slippage often matter more.
- Move safely. Import a recovery phrase only into an app you downloaded from the official site, never into a website. See the Phantom recovery phrase.
