Phantom on BNB Chain (BSC)

Phantom added BNB Chain, also called BNB Smart Chain or BSC, on 1 October 2026, making it Phantom's ninth network. You can hold, send, receive and swap BNB Chain tokens using your existing 0x address, with gas paid in BNB. Update to the latest app version to see it.

Last verified: 25 October 2026. Until October 2026 BNB Chain was on Phantom's unsupported list, and Phantom users needed a separate wallet such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet for BSC tokens. That changed on 1 October 2026.

What happened and when

  • 1 October 2026, 17:05 UTC: Phantom announced on X that BNB Chain was live and told users to update to the latest app version. BNB Chain's official account confirmed it two minutes later (Solana Compass, October 2026).
  • Reports at launch noted that Phantom's help centre still listed BSC as unsupported that day. On 25 October 2026 the help centre lists BNB Chain as a supported network.
  • BNB Chain joined Solana, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Bitcoin, HyperEVM, Robinhood Chain and Arc, for nine networks in total.

Your BNB Chain address

BNB Chain is an EVM network, so it uses the same 0x address as your Ethereum, Base and Polygon accounts in Phantom. If someone sent BEP-20 tokens to your Phantom 0x address on BNB Chain before October 2026, they were there all along on the blockchain; Phantom just did not show them. After updating, they should now appear. If a token does not show, see token not showing in Phantom.

When withdrawing from an exchange, choose the BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) network. Do not pick a network Phantom does not support, such as opBNB, unless you have another wallet for it.

Gas fees on BNB Chain

BNB is the gas token on BNB Smart Chain. You need a small amount of BNB on BNB Chain to send tokens or swap there; USDT or other BEP-20 tokens alone are not enough unless a swap is gasless. Network fees go to the network's validators, not to Phantom. Phantom's 0.85% fee applies to swaps (Phantom help centre, 2026). Estimate swap costs with our swap fee calculator.

How to see BNB Chain in Phantom

  1. Update Phantom to the latest version from the official App Store, Google Play or Chrome Web Store listing.
  2. Open settings and check the list of active networks; make sure BNB Chain is turned on.
  3. Go back to your home screen. BNB and BEP-20 tokens at your 0x address should appear.
  4. To receive, copy your EVM address and tell the sender to use BNB Smart Chain.

Phantom menu labels change between versions; if you cannot find the network list, look in settings for networks.

Moving BSC tokens from another wallet

If your BNB Chain tokens are in MetaMask, Trust Wallet or another wallet, you have two options:

  • Send them to Phantom. Copy your Phantom 0x address, choose BNB Smart Chain as the network in the old wallet, send a small test first, then the rest. Leave enough BNB in the old wallet to pay the fee for each send.
  • Import the old wallet into Phantom. Importing the recovery phrase or private key shows the same address and its tokens inside Phantom, with no transfer needed. The old wallet stays exposed to whatever risks it had, so only do this if you trust that the phrase was never leaked. See import a wallet into Phantom.

Phantom or a BSC-focused wallet?

Phantom suits you if you mainly use Solana and want to hold some BNB Chain tokens in the same app. Wallets that have supported BNB Chain for years, such as Trust Wallet, have a much longer track record there, and many EVM wallets also support networks Phantom does not, such as opBNB or Arbitrum. See Phantom vs Trust Wallet.

Things to know

  • Scam tokens. BNB Chain has many look-alike and honeypot tokens. A token you did not buy that suddenly appears in your wallet is often bait. Do not try to sell it through a site it points you to. See memecoin safety.
  • Old wallets. If you used a different wallet for BSC, Phantom will not show those tokens unless you import that wallet. See import a wallet into Phantom.
  • New feature. BNB Chain support is only a few weeks old. Expect some tokens, prices or features to be missing at first.

Stay safe

New network launches attract fake "BNB Chain activation" sites and DMs. You do not need to activate anything on a website; updating the official app is enough. Phantom never asks for your recovery phrase, has no phone support and has no token.
